In today’s video, I am extremely honoured to introduce you to my good friend, Kay Young. I met Kay back in 2017 when Kay asked me to be interviewed for her “Overwhelmed Working Moms Summit”.
Now Kay is passionate about being a teacher. She taught Middle Schoolers the English language and how to evaluate as they read. Then she taught in her own private school to students from elementary age up through adults through one-on-one training in multiple academic areas. As well as years of teaching elementary school students the delight of music.
However as Kay watched her students graduate, she did notice that many found that satisfactory employment was an ever increasing challenge. And during this same time, she was also preparing her own 5 sons to enter the workforce, adulthood, take on their own lives and she had concerns for them.
As the boys grew older, Kay actually started her own brick and mortar business. And the nature of her business actually caused her to morph into more of a counseling role and she found her niche. Intimate conversations with working women where Kay found herself coaching she recognized a frequent common issue that was present for most of these women.
The majority of the working moms worked because they didn’t have a choice. They needed more income, yet didn’t want to leave their families. And also, looking back at the many students she had taught, most of them really didn’t know what they wanted to do after school was finished. And this crystallized the biggest issue of all for both groups.
Which was, how can people earn money? Money necessary to live their lives and take care of themselves and their families?
And at this very moment, so many are struggling to have enough time and enough money to even to be with the families they love being with. Let alone dare to have any personal goals and dreams.
Now this awareness directed Kay’s final path toward assisting both the youth and the parents, adults, to start their own income. As a mentor in this field, she is aware that a high percentage of people don’t have the funds or have very limited funds to start a new business. As well as, they lack the knowledge necessary to get started. So using education and teamwork, Kay helps people find the path to having more time and more money, so they can spend their lives enjoying their families and pursuing their dreams.
